I Initially
I had several business ideas some were product based and some were service
based. But 21-year-old Genz self-inside me did not get the full conviction on
those ideas fully because I am a person who loves fashion, creativity, hates monotonous
work. but I also know that fashion industry is a
sort of industry which has lot of competition and I heard the article that says
the majority of business fails in fashion industry because it is an industry
which looks very simple from outside but is the toughest to crack. But still I
feel there is one spot where something can be done that is footwear accessories.
There is a gap which needs an upgradation. People are still wearing a sock
which they used to wear 30-40 year ago. And the vibe of that sock is so
depressing and makes you feel like oldy and attracts sadness. coolness is
missing. but finally got the idea of cool footwear accessories like funky shoe
laces, charms, socks something which is unique and not easily found in the
market places, not owned by everyone, stands out and grab people attention, colorful,
creative, fashionable, which express for self and have a story behind it.
One gap in fashion industry and no one talks about it
I feel
fashion has evolved a lot in these years, people are putting lot of effort in
deciding their daily outfits and making them presentable in front of world.
They do select what sort of clothes accessories, bags, watches, glasses work
well with them, but when it comes to footwear it is restricted to shoes and
sandal only- socks, laces and charms get ignored by millions of people which
results in every one is wearing those same boring socks and plain laces every
day. But there is trend rising in western countries. Genz generation are going
crazy after “going funky” they do believe in wearing what makes them feel happy
and confident and they love this fashion. There are few E-commerce brands which
are catering to the needs to this market and they are growing at a very good
rate and making good revenue. Big market players like ZARA and HnM are still away
from this game, they are selling socks but they are not selling the socks which
are highly relatable to the audience and are funny. It is highly niche market
but it is expected to grow by 9% by 2032 as per some researchers.
Everyone says “Ek insaan ki pehchaan ukse juuto se hoti hai”, But still ignoring Shoe accessories?
Now a days
everyone is Focusing of the hair accessories, jewelry, bags, makeup, fragrance,
etc. which shows people are spending on themselves to look best and this is very
good as one should be conscious and aware of his/her personality and should groom
themselves in the best way possible. But most people don’t even think of socks
and shoe accessories as it is not fully visible butttt wait the research says
the first thing that people unconsciously notices are feet that is why you must
have heard people saying that “Ek insaan ki pehchaan ukse juuto se hoti hai”
and even a small details like what socks or shoe laces or charm you are carrying
describes your personality, vibe, attitude, the way you think and the way you
live your life and it can impact your charm and personality. A small addition
of charm in your shoe or a Quiry socks can change your entire energy and vibe. This
creates a whole new market for creativity in footwear and the concept of accessorizing.
An Existing
social taboo coming to an end
As one grows
up surrounding around us says to act mature and wear neutral colors avoid loud colors,
avoid cartoons, prints and stay formal. But all this for whom? people have actually mixed maturity with dull
life which has no colors. They have made life Soo serious which is absolutely
not true. You live life for once - wear whatever you love, experiment with your
style. Please don’t listen to other, listen to yourself.
Everyone has
an inner child inside them. Who loves color, cartoons, freedom and fun. Wearing
quirky socks, charms and shoelaces will revive it and will keep a person happy
and effortless cool. Millennian generation has followed the societal dress code
since very long and now it’s a time for Genz or alpha who are break it and make
a change in the society. On social media funky and quirky fashion is booming
and in global markets funky and quirky shoes accessories have already became a statement
and India is on its way to catch this trend. New generation of India prefers
products which are new, unique and feels real.
Generation Z – the change maker in fashion industry
Genz loves
newness, they don’t want to look like any other person around, they love to show
off their individualistic personality. They like the accessories that makes
them stand out. As we can see new generation are spending like crazy on phone accessories,
jewelry, bags, shoes etc.
Sneaker
industry is also booming, people are calling them sneaker head, who are sneaker(shoe)
collector and the complimentary products like quirky socks, charms and laces
will also boom as person who is a shoe collectors and love sneakers will definitely
buy a shoe accessory and Genz actually do spend on the items which expresses
themselves, is uncommon keep them lively and which stands out subtlety.
So finally
launching a brand soon which represents culture of freedom, rebel, confidence,
style, expression, fun and quirky and revolutionize the shoe accessories market.
World is
burning with ego, stress, rebel, competition and lots of war but remember life
is short and nobody knows tomorrow so before the world ends add shoe
accessories in your collection.
